International Conference on the Year of Peace and Trust Held in the Capital of Kyrgyzstan
01.10.2025 | 08:00 |On September 30, an international conference dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust was held at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan named after K. Dikambaev. The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic in cooperation with the UN Resident Coordinator in the country, Alexander Grave.
The forum brought together heads of diplomatic missions, representatives of international organizations, political experts, and journalists. The central topic of the agenda was the strengthening of global cooperation and trust, which was highlighted by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, who presented corresponding initiatives at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
Special emphasis was placed on the policy of positive neutrality pursued by Turkmenistan for three decades. This course has become a factor of regional stability and has received recognition on the international stage. A symbol of this approach is the establishment of International Neutrality Day, celebrated annually on December 12.
Participants noted that in the current year, when the country marks the 30th anniversary of its neutral status, Ashgabat is preparing to host a high-level international forum — a logical continuation of the Year of Peace and Trust initiative. According to experts, such events open new horizons for strengthening global dialogue and practical cooperation in the name of peace and prosperity.
The conference concluded with a video presentation illustrating Turkmenistan’s achievements in various fields.
