Türkiye’s Pharmaceutical Exports Surpass $9.1 Billion Over Five Years

The largest export market was South Korea, with shipments totaling $2.2 billion. Significant volumes were also sent to Hungary ($659 million), Iraq ($460 million), Azerbaijan ($336 million), and Georgia ($283 million).
Particularly rapid growth was observed in Hungary, where exports increased from $4 million in 2020 to $427 million in 2024. Exports to Georgia quadrupled during the same period, rising from $124 million to $283 million.
In 2024, Türkiye’s pharmaceutical exports reached a record $2,075,000,000. From January to July 2025, exports already exceeded $1.4 billion, with experts forecasting that total exports for the year will surpass $2 billion.
