During the horse races dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow met with the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Representative Director of the Japanese company Toyo Engineering Corporation, Eiji Hosoi, who had arrived in the country to participate in the celebrations.

During the meeting, the business executive congratulated the Head of State on Independence Day and noted the contribution of President Serdar Berdimuhamedow and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag, to the development of Turkmen-Japanese dialogue.

The President of Turkmenistan emphasized that since the early years of independence, relations between the two countries have been successfully developing in the oil and gas, chemical, construction, and other sectors. He highlighted the important role of major Japanese companies, including Toyo Engineering Corporation, in strengthening the partnership.

Both sides confirmed that Turkmen-Japanese relations are long-term and strategic in nature. Among the joint projects mentioned was the gas-chemical complex for the production of polymers in Kiyanly, constructed with the participation of the corporation.

Eiji Hosoi expressed appreciation for the favorable conditions for operating in the Turkmen market and confirmed the company’s readiness to continue contributing to the country’s economic progress.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedow noted the prospects for cooperation in new areas, taking into account the ongoing economic development programs and industrial reforms, and confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to consider the company’s proposals.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed confidence in the continued development of mutually beneficial partnership, and the Head of State wished the CEO of Toyo Engineering Corporation success in his work.
