Barcelona. UNESCO. Culture. Turkmenistan participates in shaping the global agenda

Turkmenistan is actively participating in the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development (MONDIACULT-2025), taking place in Barcelona from September 29 to October 1. The delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Myahri Byashimova, is at the center of the global dialogue aimed at integrating culture into the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

MONDIACULT-2025 is a leading global platform, bringing together representatives from over 160 countries to determine strategic directions for cultural policy in the coming decades.

The conference will discuss the most pressing topics: from digital transformation and the development of creative industries to the role of artificial intelligence in the cultural sphere and the preservation of heritage in the face of climate change.

Speaking at the thematic session "Culture and Peace | Culture and Education," Myahri Byashimova emphasized that the Turkmen government's policies are aimed not only at preserving and promoting the country's rich historical and cultural heritage, but also at actively promoting cultural diplomacy on the global stage.
