China Introduces K Visa: What Opportunities Will It Offer for Turkmen Citizens?
30.09.2025 | 13:57 |Starting October 1, a new K-category visa will come into effect in the People’s Republic of China. This visa is intended for young international specialists in the fields of science and technology. CCTV reports this, citing the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to ministry representative Guo Jiakun, the aim of this initiative is to expand international cooperation and exchanges among young scientists and high-tech professionals.
Unlike the 12 existing types of regular visas, the K-category visa allows a greater number of entries, a longer validity period, and an extended stay duration.
Holders of the new visa will be able to participate in educational, cultural, and scientific-technical programs, as well as carry out entrepreneurial and business initiatives. To obtain it, applicants must meet basic criteria regarding age, education, and professional experience. No invitation from the Chinese side is required, and the application procedure is simplified.
For young specialists from Turkmenistan, this new visa will open opportunities for education, participation in joint projects, and strengthening professional connections with the international scientific community.
