Ministers of industry of Central Asian countries to hold 1st consultative meeting
19.05.2025 | 20:05 |The 11th meeting of the Council on Industrial Policy of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the first Consultative Meeting of Ministers of Industry of Central Asian States will be held on June 4 in Dushanbe.
As reported by the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan, industry ministers from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan have been invited to participate.
In the year of Tajikistan's chairmanship in the Commonwealth, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic developed a draft Agreement on cooperation of the CIS member states in the development of heavy engineering industries, which, after approval, was included in the agenda of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS, scheduled for June 5, 2025 in Dushanbe.

The holding of the First Consultative Meeting of the Ministers of Industry of the Central Asian States in Dushanbe was initiated during the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia held on August 9, 2024 in Astana.
The ministers will consider the implementation of industrial cooperation plans taking into account the rich resource potential, as well as the experience of joint participation in large regional economic projects and the possibilities for creating a sustainable innovative industrial partnership based on advanced technologies. Following the meeting, it is planned to sign a final document.
