 The Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council) inspected the innovative development of the city of Arkadag

Ashgabat, October 1 | ORIENT. National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited the city of Arkadag to personally inspect the progress of the second phase of construction and hold a working meeting. The agenda confirmed that Arkadag is becoming not only a "smart" city, but also a national laboratory for testing advanced solutions that will be scaled up nationwide.

The medical cluster took center stage during the inspection. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected projects, including a facility manufacturing medical injection and infusion instruments, as well as concepts for key digital centers. Specifically, he reviewed plans to establish a Research and Training Center for the City Healthcare Administration and a Patient Data Management Center for the National Digital Healthcare System.

The National Leader emphasized the urgent need to train highly qualified specialists capable of mastering the advances of medical science and effectively working with digital systems, ensuring the efficient storage and processing of information about the health of citizens.

An important piece of news announced during the tour was the international recognition of the city's products: it was reported that products from the “Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment” Company, including baby food, were awarded the gold medal "Product of the Year" at a recent exhibition in Moscow. This award serves as clear evidence of the environmental friendliness of Turkmen goods, a key principle of smart city development.

In terms of infrastructure, plans were presented for the modernization of the Ahalteke Atlar Avenue and the road to the National Museum of Wildlife, as well as other road and transport infrastructure facilities.

The head of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council) made adjustments to the projects, emphasizing the need to use high-quality materials and innovative technologies in the construction of the second phase of facilities and landscaping, including the mosque's main gate, especially in the construction of residential buildings that align with the smart city concept.

To maintain a high level of environmental protection, recommendations were given regarding the selection of seedlings and flowers for landscaping the city and along highways.

During the working meeting, reports were delivered by the heads of the State Construction Committee and the mayor of Arkadag, as well as relevant representatives of the healthcare system and the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, who reported on the work entrusted to them.

A report was also made about the preparation of a special pavilion that will showcase Arkadag's achievements in healthcare at the upcoming international exhibition in Ashgabat, timed to Healthcare Workers' Day and the 30th anniversary of the Saglyk State Program.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to establish coordinated and efficient work among all structures to successfully complete the ambitious tasks of the second phase of construction and provide the city's residents with the highest level of services.


On the same day, according to the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company's news service, contracts were signed between the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation and private companies.

Specifically, the company "Aga-gurluşyk" was entrusted with the important task of designing and constructing a mosque in the city of Fuzuli, Azerbaijan. This decision effectively marks the beginning of the export of Turkmen architectural and construction solutions to the region.

The company "Sport ýyldyzy" will modernize the buildings of the Jahan Creative Center, construct a multi-purpose sports complex on its grounds, and will modernize the "Şehitler" Mosque and improve the surrounding area.
