Turkish Airlines and Gulf Air Plan Joint Route Expansion
02.10.2025 | 17:45 |Türkiye’s national carrier, Turkish Airlines, and Bahrain’s flagship airline, Gulf Air, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at expanding strategic cooperation between the two companies.
The document was signed at Turkish Airlines’ headquarters in Istanbul by Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi and Gulf Air Group CEO Jeffrey Go, in the presence of senior executives from both airlines.
According to the memorandum, the airlines intend to develop cooperation in several key areas: concluding strategic partnership agreements, launching joint projects, mutually recognizing loyalty programs, and providing ground handling services.
Additionally, Turkish Airlines and Gulf Air plan a joint expansion of their route networks, including new strategic destinations, building on the existing direct flights between Türkiye and Bahrain.
The signed memorandum is seen as a significant step toward strengthening business, cultural, and social ties between the two countries.
