The Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty inspected the modernization of equestrian complexes ahead of the holiday.
25.09.2025 | 00:36 |In anticipation of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, personally inspected preparations for the festive celebrations. He paid particular attention to key facilities where key events related to the country's national pride—the Akhal-Teke horse—will take place.
As reported in a news release from the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Ashgabat Equestrian Complex on September 24. He inspected the results of the large-scale modernization, which has given the facility a refreshed appearance and brought it into full compliance with high international standards.
The National Leader paid particular attention to environmental aspects, giving instructions on the harmonious integration of green spaces with the infrastructure of the complex. Emphasizing that Akhal-Teke horses are the main attraction of the festive events, he demanded that all conditions be created for both the horses and riders, as well as for the numerous guests.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov personally inspected the quality of the tracks while riding his horse, Khanbeg. After lapping the designated area, he noted that the sand surface must meet modern standards to ensure safety and comfort. He also emphasized the importance of comprehensively preparing cultural programs, which, he said, should serve as a hymn to the legendary Akhal-Teke horses. The National Leader called on the country's horse breeders and trainers to share their experiences to develop horse breeding based on folk traditions, supported by international standards.
After inspecting the Ashgabat complex, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov headed to the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, where modernization work is also underway. He toured the facility and gave instructions on creating ideal training conditions and rewarding the efforts of horse breeders who contribute to the continued glorious history of these "heavenly" horses.
