Can music transport us back to our warmest memories, to a world seen through the eyes of a child? The presentation of composer Mamed Guseinov's new piano album "Six Children's Pieces" took place in Moscow, in the music salon of the A.N. Scriabin Memorial Museum. It proved that it can. The evening was a true gift for all music lovers and a radiant journey into the world of childhood.

The location for the presentation was no coincidence. The Alexander Scriabin Memorial Museum is more than just a building; it is a true sanctuary to musical genius. Its intimate atmosphere, imbued with the spirit of the great visionary composer, imbued the event with a special, sacred quality.

Here, in the space where revolutionary musical ideas were once born, new works were performed, combining the traditions of the Turkmen and Russian piano schools. It became a profound dialogue of cultures, where musical eras and traditions met in one of the most iconic places in the world of music.

The album, described by the composer himself as "the frankest confession in music," was a kind of creative return to his roots. The cycle of six pieces ("Sounds of Childhood," "Troubadour (Bakhshi)," "Fairy Tale," "Magic Dream," "Scarab," and the Nocturne "Homesickness") reflects different stages of life. While two of the early pieces were written when the composer himself was still a child, the others were inspired by piano lessons with his own son, Darius. This unique experience allowed the composer to recapture the spontaneity and purity of childhood thinking and translate them into music.

The new edition not only contains sheet music but is also a work of art in its own right. It is adorned with vibrant reproductions of paintings by renowned Turkmen artist Kossekmurad Nurmuradov, which complement the musical imagery, lending the album a special emotional expressiveness and aesthetic value.

The album presentation seamlessly fit into the concert program "Towards the International Music Competition of the IX Sounds of the Dutar Festival," which featured performances by jury members and laureates of previous years, demonstrating the continuity of generations in musical art. The festival's tradition is to reveal new facets of musical culture to the public, and in recent years, it has presented numerous significant publications and books that have enriched the performers' repertoires.

That evening, the brilliant performance of all the pieces was entrusted to the talented pianist Maria Buyanova, winner of the festival's Grand Prix. Her virtuoso playing and subtle understanding of music helped reveal the full depth of the composer's vision.

The public's interest was so intense that the Scriabin Museum's music lounge could barely accommodate everyone. However, the organizers took care of those who couldn't attend the concert: a professional video recording was made, which will be available on the Sounds of the Dutar Foundation's pages on video sharing sites and social media.

The Sounds of the Dutar festival continues to play an important role in international cultural exchange and the integration of the national academic musical tradition into the global arena. The main stage of the festival, which will combine a conference, competition, and art exhibition, will begin at the end of October, providing a new platform for discovering talented musicians. Applications are still being accepted.

In recent years, the Sounds of the Dutar festival has become an important venue for presenting both fundamental scholarly works and printed sheet music. Among the most significant publications are books on music and art, including the scholarly work "Music of Peace, Music of Friendship and Brotherhood" by National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, works by musicologists on the composer Nury Khalmamedov, and the study "Turkmen Theory of Music" by composer Sukhan Tuyliev.
