The President of Turkmenistan met with the President of Switzerland on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

The talks confirmed the strong nature of relations between the two countries, based on the principles of permanent neutrality.
Turkmenistan and Switzerland share similar foreign policy principles, which provide a reliable foundation for expanding cooperation in the international arena. This shared understanding of the role of neutrality in strengthening peace and stability provides a solid foundation for expanding cooperation at the international level.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of partnership in trade, economic, and investment. Finance, pharmaceuticals, and green energy were identified as the most promising areas. Cultural and humanitarian cooperation also plays an important role in bringing peoples closer together.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited Karin Keller-Sutter to participate in the International Forum, which will take place on December 12 in Ashgabat. The event will mark the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, as well as the International Year of Peace and Trust, proclaimed by the UN on Turkmenistan's initiative.
In response, the Swiss President expressed gratitude for the invitation and praised Turkmenistan's policy of neutrality and its concrete initiatives to expand international dialogue.
