Oriented on making people closer

On December 16, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, received Hiroyuki Tsubai, a member of the Board of Directors, Executive Vice President of Itochu Corporation, President of the company’s Machinery and Equipment Division, and Co-Chairman of the Turkmen-Japanese Economic Cooperation Committee.

The guest emphasized the strong interest of Japanese business circles in the Turkmen market, where a favorable investment climate and all the necessary conditions for productive activity have been created. Taking the opportunity, the guest also conveyed his best wishes to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, who has made a significant personal contribution to the development of Turkmen-Japanese relations, as reported by Turkmenistan’s State Television and Radio Broadcasting.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the upcoming 15th meeting of the Turkmen-Japanese Economic Cooperation Committee would serve as a catalyst for enhancing bilateral economic ties.

As noted during the meeting, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the comprehensive development of relations with Japan as a key partner in the Asia-Pacific region.

Our countries have successfully interacted both bilaterally and multilaterally, within the framework of the “Central Asia + Japan” dialogue. Currently, bilateral relations encompass political-diplomatic, trade-economic, social, cultural-humanitarian, and other spheres.

Over the years, our country has gained positive experience working with major Japanese companies in the gas sector and chemical industry. The Turkmen-Japanese Economic Cooperation Committee has played a major role in this.

Next year, the "World Expo 2025" will be held in Japan, as noted by the head of state. Emphasizing that a special Organizational Committee has been established in Turkmenistan to participate in the global Forum, with preparations already underway, the President of Turkmenistan wished for the successful holding of the World Expo.
