Ashgabat to Host International Events Within the Framework of Turkmenistan's Chairmanship in SPECA
26.07.2025 | 00:30 |At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, July 25, Deputy Chairman of the Government Hojamyrat Geldimyradov reported to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the preparations for international events that will take place within the framework of Turkmenistan's chairmanship in the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) in 2025.
According to the approved plan, a number of large-scale events are planned to be held in Ashgabat in November-December of this year. Among them are the Economic Forum, the 20th anniversary meeting of the SPECA Governing Council, thematic working meetings and other events.
In order to organize them, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, together with the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva and the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), are preparing to hold "SPECA Days" in Ashgabat.
High-ranking delegations from the countries participating in the Program, representatives of the UNECE, specialized international structures, and authoritative experts are expected to participate. The head of state emphasized the strategic importance of expanding international economic cooperation and instructed to ensure a high organizational level for the upcoming events in the Turkmen capital.
