OpenAI Develops Job Search Platform and AI Skills Certification
06.09.2025 | 09:30 |OpenAI is working on creating a new job search platform focused on professions related to artificial intelligence, according to the company’s Head of Applications, Fidji Simo.
He stated that a key question today remains: “How will AI impact a particular profession?” Simo noted that while these technologies will open new opportunities, their implementation will bring changes that companies and employees will need to adapt to.
OpenAI is already collaborating with major employers, including Walmart and John Deere, consulting firms such as Boston Consulting Group and Accenture, as well as community organizations like the Texas Business Association and the San Francisco Bay Council.
The company is also expanding OpenAI Academy—a free online platform for learning about artificial intelligence. As part of this initiative, the OpenAI Certifications system will be launched to validate AI skill levels. Preparation for certification will be available through the Study and Learn mode in ChatGPT.
According to OpenAI’s plans, 10 million certificates will be issued in the U.S. by 2030. The launch of the OpenAI Jobs Platform is expected in mid-2026.
