Ministry of Communications is at the center of digitalization and coordination of the electronic government of Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan has taken an important step towards a digital future: President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution that is designed to accelerate the development of the digital economy. According to the document, the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan is officially defined as the authorized body for electronic document management and digital services, as well as for the work of the "electronic government".

This decision was made in order to implement the strategic objectives laid down in the laws "On Electronic Document, Electronic Document Management and Digital Services" and "On Electronic Government". In essence, this means that the Ministry of Communications is becoming the main coordinator of all efforts to introduce digital technologies in government agencies.

As part of the new Resolution, the department is required to prepare proposals for amendments to the country's legislation within a month in order to bring it into line with the requirements of the time and ensure the effective operation of the new system.

Thus, Turkmenistan is purposefully moving towards creating a high-tech and competitive digital economy. This solution is aimed at:

Coordination: Ensuring smooth interaction between all government agencies through unified electronic systems.

Regulation: Creating a clear regulatory framework for all digital services.

Efficiency: Simplifying and accelerating processes for citizens and businesses through the introduction of "electronic government".
