The annual creative festival among students of Turkmen higher education institutions has been announced
05.05.2025 | 15:55 |In Turkmenistan, the annual creative festival "Talyp joşguny–2025" among students of the country's higher education institutions has been announced. It is organized by the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization in conjunction with the Ministry of Education of the country. The regulations on the procedure for holding the festival, published on the Youth Organization's website, state that its goal is to reflect the country's achievements through art, introduce the younger generation to national culture and popularize it within the student community, and identify new talents among young people passionate about music, dance, literature, and folklore.
The festival is traditionally held in 11 categories, which include: a literary and artistic composition dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust; a song glorifying the Fatherland and the accomplishments for the benefit of the people carried out under the leadership of the President of the country; a song performed by students; a Turkmen folk song performed by a group of students; a performance by a student orchestra of national and classical musical instruments; a humorous sketch from student life; a performance of an excerpt from a work of folk art; artistic recitation of poems; performance of songs by famous authors; a stage performance recreating the images of great personalities who left their mark on history through artistic skill; and a dance performance to music.
From the date of the official publication of the festival regulations until May 28, 2025, the heads of primary youth organizations of the country's higher education institutions are to hold a competition in the chosen category among the faculties of their university by drawing lots, form an artistic team from the winners of the competition, and submit its composition to the organizing committee.
A DVD recording of the held competitions must be submitted the day after their completion to the Department of Culture and Mass Media of the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan. A group of creative enthusiasts selected from representatives of higher education institutions will receive the right to perform at the state-level creative festival, which will be held from June 1 to 10, 2025.
Student groups of higher education institutions that demonstrate high skill in the colorful festival of inspiration and talent will be awarded Certificates of Honor and memorable gifts from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
