Oriented on making people closer

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent congratulations to leader of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the republic's independence.

"It is gratifying to note that over the past years, the socio-economic well-being of Tajikistan has been consistently improving, and its role in addressing pressing challenges on the international agenda has been actively increasing," the message says.

"I confirm our readiness to continue making the necessary efforts to bring Turkmen-Tajik cooperation to a new level," the congratulations posted on the website of the leader of Tajikistan emphasized.

Independence Day is celebrated in Tajikistan on September 9. Along with the head of Turkmenistan, congratulatory messages to Rahmon were sent, in particular, by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, US President Donald Trump, the leaders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Belarus, the presidents of Iran, the UAE, Austria, the kings of Great Britain and Saudi Arabia, the Emperor of Japan, the Pope, and others.
