 Shaping the digital future together: the international IT Olympiad for schoolchildren has started

The international IT Olympiad for schoolchildren has started in Russia. High school students aged 14-18 from any country in the world, including Turkmenistan, can take part in it, regardless of their programming skills. The Olympiad is supported by the Government of the Russian Federation and organized by the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Sberbank is the general partner of the event. You can register for the global event until April 18. At the start, each participant will be able to take a test to check their level of IT knowledge and receive a certificate based on the results. "At this stage, the focus is on information security, mathematical logic, the basics of algorithms and programming, data analysis, text processing and building simple models based on artificial intelligence (AI)," TASS reports with reference to the press service of Sber.

The second stage of the competition will be held from April 23 to 25 - the team semi-final in the Capture the flag format. Teams of five people from those who successfully passed the first stage will advance to the semi-finals. The topics of the tasks: AI and machine learning, cryptanalysis, reverse engineering, web vulnerabilities, forensics (computer forensics), algorithmic programming. 100 participants who score the most points will take part in the face-to-face final. Participants will complete the tasks of the Olympiad on the educational platform "Algorithmics", which is the technological partner of the event.

The final will be held from May 30 to June 3 on the campus of "School 21" in Nizhny Novgorod. The award ceremony for the winners will be held at the anniversary international conference "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia", which will be held in Nizhny Novgorod in June. The participation of schoolchildren from different parts of the world is an investment not only in their professional development, but also in the creation of an international community of technology leaders.
