 The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation held a working meeting with the organizing committee of the festival "Sounds of Dutar"

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation, Esen Aydogdyev, met on Monday, February 3, with representatives of the organizing committee of the Moscow International Festival of Arts "Sounds of Dutar". During the dialogue, the possibilities of organizing joint events in Russia were considered, in which both Turkmen performers and students studying in the Russian Federation will take part. Esen Mukhammedovich emphasized that 2025 in Turkmenistan will be held under the motto "International Year of Peace and Trust". The motto was proposed as part of the initiative of Turkmenistan, which received the support of the international community. On March 21, 2024, the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution proclaiming 2025 the International Year of Peace and Trust. The co-authors of the resolution were 86 states.

Today's meeting opens the work of the organizing committee of the IX Moscow International Festival of Arts "Sounds of Dutar", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the International Year of Peace and Trust. It is important that among the planned events, everyone finds something significant for themselves, which will help not only to remember the heroism of their ancestors, but also to feel their connection with the holiday.

The main events of the celebration will include joint concerts of Russia and Turkmenistan, a conference entitled "The Face of War in the Mirror of Art", exhibitions and painting competitions, which will be held at the Moscow Conservatory, the Russian Academy of Arts and the Center for Oriental Literature, as well as competitions for readers and composers. Upon completion of the competitions, it is planned to release a "Musical and Illustrative Collection".

At the end of October and the beginning of November, music competitions are traditionally held, which every year are gaining more and more popularity both in Russia and in Turkmenistan. The art director of the "Sounds of Dutar" festival, composer Mamed Guseynov, noted that the jury traditionally includes both Russian and outstanding Turkmen musicians and teachers.

The working meeting of the organizing committee of the "Sounds of Dutar" festival and the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation became an important milestone in the preparation for this significant cultural event.
