 Turkmenistan and ADB to Strengthen Legal Framework for Partnership to Launch New Projects

ASHGABAT, October 2 | ORIENT. Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Artur Andrysiak, Country Director for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Office. The meeting's agenda focused on enhancing partnership and ensuring a transition to a new phase of practical cooperation.

During the talks, the parties discussed a number of issues related to the implementation of specific projects planned for implementation in Turkmenistan with ADB participation. The Asian Development Bank is an important financial partner for the country in developing transport, energy, and financial infrastructure.

Particular attention was paid to further expanding the legal framework for bilateral cooperation. Strengthening this foundation is essential for attracting large-scale investment and launching new financial mechanisms.

In this context, the importance of direct interaction between representatives of the Government, and in particular the banking sector of Turkmenistan, with ADB management and relevant agencies was emphasized. Strengthening dialogue between financial institutions is intended to optimize work processes and ensure the efficient use of the Bank's lending resources.

The parties expressed their readiness to continue constructive dialogue aimed at further developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
