The Turkmen leader expressed confidence that the cooperation between the two countries, which is based on friendly relations, will continue to develop in an upward direction, in the interests of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Pakistan.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the new head of the government of Pakistan success in his state activities aimed at the prosperity of the fraternal state.
Parliament of Pakistan elected 70-year-old Shahbaz Sharif as the country's new prime minister on April 11 after ousting 69-year-old Imran Khan over the weekend in a vote of no confidence. Sharif will now form a new government that could remain in power until August 2023, when general elections in the country are due.
