 The TÜRKSOY Young Artists Competition on the theme "Traditional Children's Games of the Turkic World" has commenced

The Young Artists Competition on the theme "Traditional Children's Games of the Turkic World" has been launched. This event is being held within the framework of the declaration of the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan as the "Cultural Capital of the Turkic World" for the year 2025.

The founder and organizer of the competition is the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY). This competition aims to support the creative youth of the Turkic world; to foster interest in traditional and contemporary fine arts and the creativity of young artists of the Turkic world; and to identify talented young artists working in various genres of fine art.

Young artists, pupils, and students of art departments in specialized schools and higher educational institutions aged 12 to 18 from TÜRKSOY member countries, including Turkmenistan, are invited to participate in the competition.

Participants will be able to submit their works reflecting the unique aspects of traditional children's games. The name, rules, and plot of traditional games from each country are provided in the Competition Regulations.

Submitted artwork must not have been previously published.

Applications will be accepted until April 30, 2025, via the email address tdcabest@gmail.com. The results of the first round will be announced on the website www.turksoy.org on May 15, 2025, and the results of the second round on June 30, 2025.

Winners will be invited to Kazakhstan for the awards ceremony, and the works of the winners and finalists of the competition will be included in the catalog-album "Traditional Children's Games of the Turkic World".
