President Serdar Berdimuhamedov Inspected the Designs for New Multidisciplinary Clinics in Turkmenistan

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov toured the capital on Thursday and held a meeting dedicated to the large-scale modernization of the national healthcare system. The head of state inspected the plans and locations of the new medical facilities, reaffirming the country's commitment to building a modern infrastructure capable of providing services that meet international standards.
At the meeting, projects that will significantly expand the country's medical facilities were approved. Specifically, the construction of a 500-bed multidisciplinary hospital in Ashgabat is planned, as well as a 300-bed multidisciplinary hospital in Tejen, Ahal Velayat. Furthermore, special attention has been paid to the health of future generations: the design for a 400-bed Maternal and Child Health Center in Dashoguz and a new Health Center in Bagtyyarlyk Etrap in Ashgabat have been approved. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the critical importance of ensuring the highest quality of work at all facilities, as well as their timely commissioning.
Along with the physical construction of infrastructure, key emphasis was placed on the development of human capital and technological equipment. The head of state gave specific instructions to equip all new institutions with modern equipment from leading global manufacturers, including the mandatory use of digital systems. This modernization is an integral part of Turkmenistan's commitment to ensuring citizens receive medical services that meet international standards.
Developing the system requires appropriate training of specialists. In this regard, the President emphasized the importance of ensuring a high level of professionalism among the doctors who will work in the new institutions. He instructed to develop cooperation with leading global clinics, particularly through online classes for Turkmen youth. These measures are intended to ensure a high level of education and training, a priority under the ongoing State Program "Saglyk," initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered thorough preparations for the groundbreaking ceremonies of new institutions and the high-level holding of the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference to mark the upcoming Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers' Day on October 10. It was emphasized that efforts to develop the healthcare system, improve the quality of services, and increase life expectancy will continue on a programmatic basis.
