Turkmenistan to train foreign pilots according to European standards
26.09.2025 | 01:08 |Turkmenistan plans to become a regional center for civil aviation pilot training. As announced at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, the state-owned Turkmen Airlines intends to train not only local but also foreign specialists at its aviation school according to European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards.
Deputy Prime Minister Mammetkhan Chakyev reported that work is currently underway to train local flight instructors. They train on Diamond aircraft and receive international certificates, which will allow them to train foreign cadets in the future.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the proposal and instructed that the relevant work be carried out to implement this strategic project, aimed at developing domestic civil aviation and integrating it into the international system.
