 New Textbooks on Geometry and Japanese Language Has Been Published for 8th Grade Students in Turkmenistan

Under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, state concepts are being successfully implemented to enhance the teaching of foreign languages, develop the digital education system, and modernize teaching methods. As a result, new, modern textbooks have been developed for secondary schools.

Japanese Language: Digital Technologies in Education

A new textbook titled “Japanese Language” has been published for general secondary schools. It fully complies with the national curriculum and includes eight thematic chapters — covering topics from family and homeland to the culture of both countries.

A distinctive feature of this textbook is the integration of digital technologies: the texts and vocabulary sections are accompanied by audio recordings. This contributes to the development of students’ speaking and writing skills and effectively supports the nationwide digitalization initiatives. The textbook also includes a bilingual glossary at the end.

Advancing Exact Sciences: Geometry

At the same time, a new textbook “Geometry” has been published for 8th grade students of specialized schools with advanced mathematics instruction. The textbook, aimed at nurturing talented youth, consists of three main chapters:

• “Relations between sides and angles of a triangle” (including the properties of right triangles);

• “Quadrilaterals” (parallelogram, rhombus, square, trapezoid, Thales’ theorem, and symmetries);

• “Areas of figures” (featuring detailed explanations and multiple proofs of the Pythagorean theorem).

The publication of these specialized textbooks demonstrates the successful implementation of educational reforms aimed at providing the young generation with modern and profound knowledge.
