 Turkmenistan Appoints Ambassadors to New Zealand and Tunisia

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a series of decrees on diplomatic appointments aimed at further developing and strengthening the country’s international relations. The relevant documents were signed on 27 April 2025 and published on the official state news website, TDH.

According to one of the decrees, Atadurdy Bayramov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Japan (based in Tokyo), has also been appointed as Ambassador to New Zealand.

Under another presidential decree, Mekan Ishangulyyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Türkiye (based in Ankara), has likewise been appointed as Ambassador to the Republic of Tunisia.

These concurrent diplomatic appointments, made in addition to the Ambassadors' primary posts in Japan and Türkiye respectively, reflect Turkmenistan’s commitment to expanding the geography of its diplomatic presence and actively fostering mutually beneficial relations with countries across various regions of the world.
