ChatGPT introduces new "Styles" feature for image generation

OpenAI developers have implemented a new, free feature called "Styles" into their ChatGPT chatbot. This innovation enables users to effortlessly create images in their desired aesthetic without needing to formulate complex text prompts. The feature is now accessible to all ChatGPT users.

Currently, users are offered nine pre-set styles, including "Anime," "Cyberpunk," "Dramatic B&W," "Photo," "Coloring Book," "Retro," and "Neon".

As reported by BleepingComputer, the "Styles" feature functions as a collection of pre-designed prompt templates. This means users only need to describe the desired image content, and the pre-prepared template will automatically incorporate all stylistic nuances for accurate generation by the AI model. This new development has already been dubbed the "feature for the lazy" online, as it significantly streamlines the image creation process.

Similar functionality has been implemented in other products. For instance, image generation by style is available within the pre-installed Galaxy AI suite on Samsung smartphones and in Apple's Playground application.

To utilize the "Styles" feature in ChatGPT, users must launch the chatbot, select the "Image" option, and then navigate to the "Styles" section. After choosing one of the nine offered styles, users simply need to input a text query describing the desired image.
