Turkmen-Georgian Media Cooperation and Joint TV Projects Discussed
17.07.2025 | 09:10 |On July 16, an online meeting took place between the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting, and Cinematography, A. Kakaev, and the founders and General Director of the Georgian media holding and TV channel "Europa 24," Vakhtang Medzmariashvili. The meeting was held with the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia.
The main topic of the discussions was the development of cooperation in telecommunications and mass media. V. Medzmariashvili provided information about the activities of the media holding and proposed a cooperation project, which includes the creation of video materials about Turkmenistan, organization of telebridges, and joint TV broadcasts between the two countries.
The parties also discussed the coverage of key international events involving Turkmenistan, including the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC-3) and the International Forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
Both sides expressed interest in strengthening cultural ties through media projects and emphasized the importance of promoting information about Turkmenistan’s achievements on the international stage.
