Oriented on making people closer

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has sent a congratulatory message to President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the people of the country on the occasion of Belarus' Independence Day.

In his message, the head of state expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of friendly interstate relations for the benefit of both nations.

On this occasion, the President of Turkmenistan extended sincere wishes to Alexander Lukashenko for good health, happiness, and success, and to the people of the Republic of Belarus — well-being and prosperity.

From 1991 to 1996, Independence Day was celebrated on July 27 — the day of the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Belarus. The new date, July 3, holds special historical significance as a symbol of freedom and peace. It was established following a nationwide referendum held in November 1996.
