Oriented on making people closer

On May 27, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a regular meeting of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the Framework Program for Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations in the Field of Sustainable Development for 2021-2025 in a hybrid format.

The event was attended by the heads and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, various ministries and departments of the country, the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, as well as heads and staff of the UN departments. During the meeting, key issues were considered, including an overview of the current implementation of the Framework Program, a discussion of the next stage of the program for 2026-2030, and the approval of the UNDP, UNICEF and UNFPA Country Programs for 2026-2030.

The meeting participants emphasized the high level of multifaceted cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN. It was expressed confidence that joint efforts will achieve significant results in ensuring sustainable development and progress. Particular attention was paid to the importance of systemic work based on medium- and long-term plans and programs.
