In the road-transport sector, joint work is expected to develop the North-South corridor. In the Mangistau region, this month, they will begin repairing the road from the city of Zhanaozen to the border of Turkmenistan through Kenderli.

In the field of road-transport and international transportation, the parties agreed to digitize the entire process of exchanging foreign permit forms (FPF). This will significantly increase transit between the countries and speed up the transportation of goods.

The transfer of the mechanism for exchanging foreign permit forms (FPF) to an electronic format was discussed at the six-party meeting of delegations of the transport departments of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan held in Astana the day before.

The heads of transport departments noted the need to create a Program of multilateral cooperation in the field of transport of the countries of Central Asia and China. Thus, this Program will provide electronic document management and the ability to track the movement of goods online. The ministers intend to simplify international road transport and transfer the mechanism for exchanging foreign permit forms (FPF) to an electronic format. FPF is a document that allows carriers to travel abroad with cargo. Kazakhstan already exchanges FPF with China and Uzbekistan in electronic format. Now this process will be digitized with Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. This will significantly speed up the process of international road transport.
