24.03.2025 | 11:45 |Turkmenistan, alongside representatives from other nations in the region, is represented in the third delegation of Central Asian youth to India.
The visit has been organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India under the auspices of the International Youth Exchange Program (IYEP).
This initiative is aimed at fostering youth cooperation, cultural exchange, and the strengthening of diplomatic ties between India and the Central Asian nations of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
From March 22nd to 28th, the 100-member delegation will participate in a diverse range of activities, exploring the historical and cultural landmarks of India.
Specifically, their program includes visits to the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Humayun's Tomb, and historical sites in the state of Goa to gain insight into India's architectural and historical heritage. The participants will engage with students and faculty of Indian universities and will visit the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry to study India's advancements in the fields of technology, research, and entrepreneurship.
They are also scheduled to interact with volunteers of MY Bharat to discuss matters of youth empowerment, leadership, and innovation. Furthermore, meetings are planned with the Minister of External Affairs of India, the Chief Minister of Goa, and the Governor of Goa, during which the importance of youth diplomacy will be underscored.
This program follows the vision articulated by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, at the India-Central Asia Summit in January 2022. At that time, he proposed the launch of an annual youth exchange initiative to enhance mutual understanding among the young leaders of the region.
The visit is anticipated to serve as a catalyst for future collaboration, promoting intercultural understanding, the development of leadership qualities, and international cooperation in key sectors.
