Oriented on making people closer

On September 1, a grand opening ceremony of the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was held in Ashgabat with the participation of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The new university will become a center for training highly qualified specialists for the private sector of the economy and innovative industries of the country.

The opening of the university was an important stage in the implementation of the national strategy for the development of private entrepreneurship, improvement of the educational and scientific base and integration of higher education with business practice. The university, created on the basis of the Decree of the President, aims to train specialists with modern knowledge in the field of economics, management, digital technologies, agribusiness, architecture and construction.

The ceremony on the square in front of the university brought together the country's leadership, members of the Mejlis, members of the government, representatives of the diplomatic corps, international organizations, the business community, journalists and students.

Speaking to the audience, the National Leader emphasized that support for the private sector is the key to the socio-economic development of the state, and the creation of the university will allow training highly qualified personnel for domestic industry and entrepreneurship.

As the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty noted, since the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, more than 5,300 projects worth about 28 billion dollars have been implemented, more than 425 thousand jobs have been created. Today, the Union unites more than 29 thousand members, including those actively involved in the construction of the "smart" city of Arkadag and the development of national infrastructure, including the 600-kilometer high-speed highway "Ashgabat - Turkmenabat".

The new university is located on 8 hectares and includes a 9-storey main building, four academic buildings, two dormitories with 300 beds each, sports and conference halls, a library and a canteen. The educational process is organized according to a two-tier system of bachelor's and master's degrees, classes are conducted in Turkmen and English. The programs are focused on practical training in the field of entrepreneurship, business management, digital technologies, architecture and agribusiness.

Particular attention is paid to practice-oriented education. The university has 42 laboratories, including supercomputer technologies, information security, digital modeling, robotics and construction materials laboratories. Students will be able to directly interact with businesses and industrial enterprises, participate in real projects, which forms a mentor-student model and ensures the integration of science and practice.

The National Leader got acquainted with the laboratories of international finance and stock exchange, selection and seed production, construction materials, digital technologies, etc. Particular attention was paid to the development of competencies in the field of construction, seismology and innovative technologies.

An exhibition of products of members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was presented in the courtyard of the university, including achievements in the electronics industry - products of the business entity "Aýdyň gijeler".

As reported in the news release of the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, the University received international certificates and awards confirming compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards in the field of management, equipment and lighting.

The National Leader emphasized that the university will become a support for innovative business and will train specialists capable of strengthening the country's economic potential.

The International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs opens a new round in the educational and economic life of Turkmenistan, creating a bridge between academic knowledge, business practice and global standards.
