Oriented on making people closer

In 2025, the international forum "Commonwealth of Fashion," a cultural and economic project uniting on a single platform representative of the light industry and fashion business of the Commonwealth of Independent States, relevant ministries and departments, and educational institutions of the Commonwealth countries, plans to expand its youth format.

This decision was made at the inaugural meeting of the forum's working group, held on February 26, 2025. Within the new format, a special "youth day" will be organized, which will be geared towards students and emerging professionals. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their collections and ideas, thereby expanding the creative geography and attracting young designers from various CIS countries.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy, Secretary General of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS, emphasized the importance of engaging youth in the discussion of pressing issues in the fashion industry. He invited experts from the Commonwealth countries to support the initiative and facilitate the participation of young industry professionals in the forum.

Diana Survilayte, Head of the Organizational Management Department of the Secretariat of the IPA CIS Council, informed that the invitation campaign for the forum will commence in March.

In 2024, the forum, alongside delegates from 60 regions of Russia, as well as from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and other countries, saw the participation of representatives from Turkmenistan.
