In Ashgabat, the prize-winners of the XXI International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics and Informatics were honored
21.01.2025 | 11:00 |A ceremony was held at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan to award the prize-winners of the XXI International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, which concluded in Astana. On behalf of the President of Turkmenistan, they were presented with valuable gifts.
Turkmen schoolchildren won 2 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze medals. Turkmenistan was represented at the Olympiad by 21 students.
In total, the XXI International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics and Informatics gathered over 700 students from 15 countries.
In the team standings, the national team of Turkmenistan took 8th place, once again confirming the regular improvement of teaching methods aimed at developing students' practical skills and abilities, forming modern theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as a scientific worldview. This corresponds to the tasks set out in the "Concept for Improving the Methodology of Teaching General Education Programs in Turkmenistan until 2028", approved by Decree of the Esteemed President.
The schoolchildren stated that during 2025, declared by the UN as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" and coinciding with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, they will actively participate in the Caucasus Mathematical Olympiad, the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, the 42nd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, the 66th International Mathematical Olympiad, the 25th Asian Physics Olympiad, the 55th International Physics Olympiad, the Tashkent International Mathematical Olympiad, the International Olympiad for Young Al-Khwarizmi, the 9th European Physics Olympiad, the International Chemistry Olympiad, the International Biology Olympiad, the International Olympiad in Informatics, the International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics, and other international educational competitions, raising the prestige of Turkmenistan on the international stage.
