 Turkmen schoolchildren are participating in the International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics

Schoolchildren from Turkmenistan are taking part in the XXI International Zhautykov Olympiad for schoolchildren in Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics "IZhO 2025", which is being held in Astana from January 13 to 17.

The Olympiad is taking place at the Republican Physics and Mathematics School under the auspices of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Daryn" under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of the city of Astana.

Approximately 700 schoolchildren and 150 supervisors from 15 countries are participating in the Olympiad. Among them are Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, and Mongolia.

Following the results of the Zhautykov Olympiad, participants will receive certificates of participation and commemorative gifts, and the winners and runners-up will receive diplomas of various degrees, as well as gold, silver, and bronze medals.

The International Zhautykov Olympiad has been held since 2005 under the auspices of the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan with the aim of promoting physical and mathematical sciences among students, establishing friendly relations between specialized schools of different countries, exchanging experiences, and demonstrating the level of education and culture of Kazakhstan.

This year it is being held in Astana for the first time.
