Concerts, exhibitions, and meetings: Days of Uzbek culture begin in Turkmenistan
17.11.2024 | 15:00 |From November 18 to 20, Turkmenistan is hosting the Days of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As part of the program, organized to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries, numerous vibrant events will introduce residents and guests of Turkmenistan to the rich heritage of Uzbek culture.
The grand opening of the Days of Culture will take place on November 18 at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. Guests will enjoy a concert program performed by Uzbekistan’s artists. The palace foyer will host an exhibition of applied and visual arts, showcasing the unique creativity of Uzbek artisans. The event begins at 6:00 PM.
On November 19, the day will begin with a creative meeting at the State Library of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. Writers and poets from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will discuss the legacy of the great Eastern philosopher Magtymguly Pyragy.
In the afternoon, a concert featuring Uzbek artists will be held at the "Tashkent" park, accompanied by a showcase of traditional costumes, a display of national dishes, and an exhibition of artistic works. The event starts at 3:00 PM.
The program will culminate on November 20 with the closing ceremony of the Days of Culture at the Seyitnazar Seydi State Music and Drama Theater in the Lebap velayat. Artists from both countries will perform a joint concert for the audience. The ceremony starts at 6:00 PM.
Additionally, on November 20–21, the city of Türkmenabat will host the second Turkmen-Uzbek Interregional Forum and a national exhibition of Uzbek goods. Furthermore, as announced at a recent meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, consultations on developing cooperation in trade, tourism, and cultural-humanitarian ties are scheduled for November 21. The event will include bilateral meetings and the signing of agreements.
The events of the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan highlight the importance of cultural exchange and the traditionally friendly cooperation between the two countries.
