Oriented on making people closer

On Friday, 15 November, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov met with Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bahtiyor Saidov in Tashkent.

During the talks, the diplomats noted the high level of bilateral relations based on trusting political dialogue at the highest level. They discussed the implementation of agreements reached during the meetings of the President of Turkmenistan, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held this year, the press service of the MFA of Turkmenistan reported.

Special attention was paid to strengthening trade and economic relations and deepening cooperation in the fuel and energy sector. The parties stressed the importance of the work of the Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and cultural interaction, and also noted the significance of organizing cross exhibitions of national products.

Earlier it was reported that an exhibition of Uzbek goods and an interregional forum of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will be held in Turkmenabat, Lebap, on 20-21 November.
