Turkmentel-2024: digitalization, satellite technologies and inclusive communities ▶️
16.11.2024 | 01:16 |On 15 November, the “Turkmentel-2024” international forum focused on key aspects of telecommunications and digital technology development continued its work in Ashgabat. The second day of the program included rich thematic sessions that brought together leading experts from different countries.
The Future of Communications
In the morning, there was a session dedicated to the future of global communications. Participants, including representatives of ICANN, Nokia and Huawei, discussed new frameworks for managing network systems, optimizing telecommunications infrastructure and innovative approaches to networking. Speakers shared best practices and outlined key trends, such as the introduction of artificial intelligence and increasing the efficiency of communication networks.
Satellite technologies and their role in the economy
The second session emphasized satellite systems as an essential tool for sustainable economic development. Representatives of Gilat Satellite Networks, SSI MonacoSat and Eutelsat spoke about modern opportunities of satellite communications, including improvement of Internet access in remote regions, development of telemedicine and educational platforms. Special attention was paid to the integration of satellite technologies into the infrastructure of Turkmenistan.
Ethics and inclusion in the digital world
The third session of the day focused on creating ethical and inclusive digital communities. Experts from Turkmenistan, Estonia and Kazakhstan discussed sustainable digitalization strategies to make technology accessible to all groups. Inclusion, digital literacy and sustainable development were at the center of attention.
The postal system of the future
The day concluded with the Universal Postal Union meeting, where participants looked at ways to digitally transform the traditional postal system. Special attention was paid to the integration of advanced solutions in logistics and communications.
