The delegation of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in China and the representative office of OJSC "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan" in China, led by Ambassador Parahat Durdyev, visited the cities of Urumqi, Kashgar, Karamay and Yining, as well as the Khorgos cross-border checkpoint of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR).

During the working visit, the delegation held meetings with a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Party Committee of the XUAR Ma Xingrui, Governor of the XUAR Erken Tuniyaz and his deputies, as well as other officials, representatives of private companies of the above-mentioned districts.

They got acquainted with state and private industrial enterprises producing metallurgical, textile and agricultural products in the indicated areas of the region, visited an Akhal-Teke horse farm, transport and logistics hubs, trade and wholesale and cross-border hubs. Members of the delegation visited administrative, cultural, historical and museum centers.

The Ambassador, together with employees of the representative office of the “Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan” in China, met with Turkmen students studying at the branch of the Petroleum University of China in the city of Karamay.

Parakhat Durdyev gave a lecture to students, revealing the significance of the work of the great poet Magtymguly, whose 300th anniversary is widely celebrated this year. He also spoke about the results of the meetings of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan on February 9 and 22, 2024, the significance of the Anau civilization and culture not only for the Turkic world, but also for all of humanity in general.

The Turkmen diplomat also took part in a round table organized by the state corporation “Xinjiang Commercial Logistics Group Co. Ltd."

XUAR, due to its cultural, historical and geographical proximity, is ready to hold a scientific conference and presentation of a collection of poems by Magtymguly, allocate additional places for studying in universities of central subordination, as well as certain benefits for medical treatment for citizens of Turkmenistan. The district will also continue to provide opportunities to participate in the annual “China-Eurasia” and agricultural machinery exhibitions, etc., and share achievements in the field of advanced technologies.
