The official opening ceremony of the National Day of Turkmenistan was held on October 9 in Al-Bidda Park in Doha, Qatar, as part of the international horticultural exhibition EXPO - 2023.

The State Minister of the Municipality and Urban Planning of Qatar Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subai and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan B. Atdayev made an introductory speech. Turkmen artists also performed at the event, who introduced the audience to the rich culture of our country.

The participants of the ceremony got acquainted with the national pavilion, the landscape of which is decorated with trees and plants growing in Turkmenistan. It is mainly devoted to the problem of water supply in arid zones and demonstrates the country's efforts in the field of nature protection. In addition, information is provided on the ongoing activities to ensure environmental well-being, conservation of nature reserves, natural and cultural tourism zones in Turkmenistan.

Recall that the international horticulture exhibition, organized under the slogan "Green Nature for the environment", is the first such event held in the Middle East region and in a country with an arid climate. Many organizations and companies representing more than 80 countries of the world participate in it. The exhibition demonstrates innovative solutions to combat desertification and the development of sustainable agriculture. An international strip has been created in the Al-Bidda Park in Doha on an area of 170 hectares, including pavilions and gardens from different countries.
