Arkadag once again receives international recognition as a smart and eco-friendly city

This award once again confirmed the status of Arkadag as an outstanding green and environmentally friendly settlement. The recognition became another evidence of international approval of the architectural appearance and environmental level of the new city.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador of the PRC to Turkmenistan Qian Naicheng noted that it was a great honor for him to present this certificate to the city of Arkadag, which embodies the concept of a “smart” and environmentally friendly space.
The diplomat also emphasized that Hangzhou, one of the leading innovation centers of China, is actively developing digital technologies and artificial intelligence. And Dianzi University, Certificate of which is awarded to Arkadag City, closely cooperates with various countries in the field of modern technologies, conducting a comprehensive assessment of the technological level of new cities around the world.
During the event, the speakers noted the importance of international certificates and diplomas awarded to the city of Arkadag. They emphasized that this city, which combines a high level of comfort, national architectural traditions and advanced world solutions, symbolizes a new stage in the development of urban development approaches in Turkmenistan.
Guests of the ceremony also visited a thematic exhibition, where materials were presented about the architectural features of Arkadag, the use of digital systems and innovative technologies in its infrastructure. The Chinese side organized a separate pavilion dedicated, among other things, to the contribution of Chinese specialists to the development of a "smart" city.
In addition, the event featured video footage of advanced technologies being implemented in Arkadag and the digitalization of urban processes. The results of using digital solutions in traffic management, social and cultural facilities were presented.
Earlier, ORIENT reported that the Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted a resolution to expand the administrative territory of Arkadag, transferring 65 hectares of land from the Turkmen capital to it.
