At a press conference in the publication's multimedia press center, the head of the department of intercultural programs and international projects of the Eurasia ANO Vyacheslav Matveychuk said that this year the film forum has already been held in Kyrgyzstan and Abkhazia, and after Yerevan, Minsk will host it. The festival's program director Alexandra Zhukova said that the program of the film forum is different in each city. In addition to film screenings, there are discussions, round tables, and master classes.
The film forum brings together like-minded people in the field of cinematography and serves as preparation for the next film festival, which will be held in Sochi. The event will feature the winning films of the Eurasia Kinofest festival, which took place in Moscow in October 2024, bringing together more than 250 filmmakers and experts from 18 countries.
At a press conference in Yerevan, it was reported that active preparations are underway for the second Eurasia Film Festival in Sochi, which will be held from July 6 to 13. This year, the festival is expanding its geography, including films not only from the EAEU countries, but also from BRICS.
The goal of the film forum is to strengthen integration processes in the post-Soviet space while preserving the national identity of peoples, stimulating viewers' interest in the history of their countries, traditional and cultural values, identifying and professionally supporting talented filmmakers whose work brings spirituality and aesthetic novelty.
