Emir of Qatar received delegation of Turkmenistan led by Deputy Prime Minister Rashid Meredov
17.03.2025 | 01:30 |On March 16, Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a delegation of Turkmenistan led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, who arrived in Doha on a visit.
During the meeting, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the Emir of Qatar from President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed gratitude for the conveyed wishes and addressed return greetings to the top leadership of Turkmenistan, wishing prosperity and success, as well as acceptance by the Almighty of the good deeds, fasts and prayers performed in the holy month of Ramadan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
The parties noted the intensification of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Qatar. The Turkmen delegation particularly emphasized the importance of the telephone conversation between the Emir of Qatar and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, held on March 3 this year.
During the meeting, the effectiveness of interaction between the two countries within the framework of multilateral formats, primarily in the United Nations, was emphasized. Rashid Meredov informed the Emir of Qatar about the International Forum for Peace and Trust dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, which will be held in Ashgabat on December 12, 2025, and extended an invitation to the Qatari side to take part in this representative international forum and accompanying festive events.
