According to AZERTAC, a ceremony was held in front of the headquarters of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Istanbul to raise the organization's updated flag.

The event was attended by the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, and deputy ministers of foreign affairs from Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan.

"This flag embodies the strength of our brotherhood, the depth of our cooperation, and the bright future we are building together. It is an expression of our determination to strengthen unity, expand opportunities, and deepen cooperation within the Turkic world," said Kubanychbek Omuraliev in his speech.

He also noted that the eight-pointed star on the updated flag symbolizes the centuries-old traditions of statehood, unity, and strength of the Turkic world. The eight-pointed star is a symbol of wisdom.

The updated OTS flag was adopted at the XI Summit of the Heads of State Council of the organization, which took place on November 6 of the previous year in Bishkek.
