President of Turkmenistan replaces Deputy Prime Minister for Fuel and Energy Complex
13.05.2023 | 21:45 |President Serdar Berdimuhamedov dismissed Ashirguly Begliev from the post of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Oil and Gas in connection with the transfer to another job.
The head of state appointed Batyr Amanov, head of the “Turkmengaz” state concern, as the new vice prime minister in charge of the fuel and energy complex.
The head of state announced this decision on Saturday, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Ashirguly Begliev has served as Deputy Prime Minister since February 2023, before that, since April 2022, he was an adviser to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues. From 2015 to 2017, he headed the “Turkmengaz” concern.
Batyr Amanov was appointed chairman of “Turkmengaz” in July 2020. Before that, he worked as Director General of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries and in other positions in the oil and gas sector.
Maksat Babayev, who until that moment had worked as deputy chairman of the department, became the head of the “Turkmengaz” concern. Previously, he already headed Turkmengaz, in 2017, he was Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers for Oil and Gas, until April 2018.
