19.06.2022 | 17:34 |President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a trip to the Lebap region on Saturday, where he opened a new gas-collecting station, and before that he visited farmers.
At the airport of Turkmenabat, where the head of state arrived, the head of the regional administration, Shohrat Amangeldiev, first of all reported on the fulfillment by the grain growers of the Darganata region of their contractual obligations on wheat harvest.
From the airport, the President went to one of the grain farms. Serdar Berdimuhamedov came to the field of tenant Azat Joraev in the farmers' association "Vatan" in the Chardzhev region.
In a conversation with the farmer, the President asked him about the working conditions and current concerns of the farmer, who said that he had been cultivating wheat for 16 years on a land lease and this year he expected to receive 50 centners per hectare on his 10-hectare plot.
He asked the head of state to start harvesting in his field, and the President clenched the first symbolic sheaf with a sickle, after which powerful CLAAS and John Deere combines were brought into play.
After reviewing the exhibition of agricultural products produced by local workers and tasting freshly baked bread from the flour of the new crop, the President went to the Farab etrap, where a gas-collecting station was built at the Gadyn field.
A solemn event was held here on the occasion of the commissioning of a new facility of the country's gas industry with the participation of the country's leadership corps and representatives of CNPC, in partnership with which this project was implemented.
Speaking to the audience, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the policy of "open doors" is the basis of Turkmenistan's international relations. Ranking fourth in the world in terms of natural gas reserves, the country is a major exporter of hydrocarbon resources.
The head of state stressed the importance of the projects being implemented in this area jointly with the PRC, an indicator of which is the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China, which transports 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
Since commissioning at the end of 2009, more than 334 billion cubic meters of natural gas have been exported from Turkmenistan to China. In the future, with the construction of the 4th branch, the capacity of the gas pipeline is planned to be increased to 65 billion cubic meters per year.
The new Gadyn gas-gathering station will receive 5.5 million cubic meters of natural gas per day from the Kishtivan, West Kishtuvan, Gadyn, Iljik and East Iljik fields in the Bagtyyarlyk contract area - a field on the right bank of the Amu Darya, which is a raw material source for the supply of Turkmen gas to China . Serdar Berdimuhamedov pressed the start button, putting the production into operation.
The participants of the celebration were shown a video presentation of the new facility with 200 jobs.
After that, via video link, in real time, the President welcomed the launch of the new Uchadzhi-Zerger gas pipeline, through which gas will be supplied to the Chardzhou gas turbine power plant and to provide the residents of the region.
