Artificial intelligence created the first sculpture

The world's first sculpture created by artificial intelligence was presented at an exhibition at the Stockholm National Museum of Science and Technology.

The height of the sculpture of an androgynous man called "The Impossible Statue" is 1.5 meters, the weight is 500 kg.

The sculpture is made of stainless steel, its lower part is covered with material, and the right hand holds a bronze globe.

The idea to force artificial intelligence to the craft of a sculptor came from programmers of the Swiss engineering group Sandvik. They combined the styles inherent in five great masters — Michelangelo, Auguste Rodin, Kathe Kollwitz, Kotaro Takamura and Augusta Savage and "taught" the information received to artificial intelligence.

The neural network, in turn, offered several variants of two-dimensional images, which were then transformed into 3D models.
