Tokayev: trade turnover between Turkic Council Members exceeded 45 billion dollars

In an interview with the weekly newspaper "Ana Tili", President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that in 2024, the trade turnover between the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) exceeded 45 billion dollars.

This achievement resulted from the strengthening of trade relations among the member countries over the past decade. Tokayev emphasized that Kazakhstan will continue to promote the deepening of ties among all Turkic nations, focusing on expanding cooperation in sectors such as energy, industry, agriculture, and digitalization.

Under Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OTS, a number of large-scale projects were implemented, more than 80 events were organized, and close ties were established between educational and academic institutions, as well as the creative intelligentsia.

The V World Nomad Games were held in Astana. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reminded about the TURKTIME slogan, which includes eight priorities: Traditions, Unification, Reforms, Knowledge, Trust, Investments, Mediation, and Energy. These priorities were positively received by the Turkic community, which extends beyond the countries of the OTS.
