The King of Denmark has ordered the modification of the country's coat of arms

The King of Denmark, Frederik X, has ordered changes to the country’s coat of arms, including the removal of three crowns and the distinct separation of regional symbols. This modification was reported by News Oresund.

Specifically, the coats of arms of Greenland and the Faroe Islands were enlarged and placed in the second and third sections, respectively. The symbols of Denmark and South Jutland were moved to the first and fourth sections.

It is noted that the old version of the coat of arms featured the three crowns combined with the coats of arms of the Faroe Islands and Greenland in the third section. This element had been a point of contention with Sweden, as Stockholm believed that it implied Denmark’s claim to the Swedish throne.

It was also previously reported that in the Kuzminki district of the capital, there are plans to alter the colors of the coat of arms and flag, which currently feature two yellow swans on a blue background.
